Create your JPSL merchant account, select your entity type, and verify your contact details via OTP.

This is the entry point to your JPSL onboarding. By the end of this stage, you will have a verified account, and your session will be saved so you can resume at any point.
What You Need for This Stage
- Active mobile number or email address
- Your Business Type (legal entity classification)
- Your Business Legal Name as it appears on PAN / registration documents
If you are not sure what your entity type is, read the Document Checklist first.
Step 1.1 — Navigate to the Sign-Up Page
Open your browser and go to:
https://jiopay.co.in/jioconnect/register
Use a desktop or laptop browser for the best experience. Chrome (latest version) is recommended.
Step 1.2 — Enter Your Contact Details
| Field | What to Enter |
|---|---|
| Mobile Number / Email | Either your Indian mobile number (+91-XXXXXXXXXX) or your official business email. This becomes your permanent login ID. |
| Business Type | Select your legal entity type from the dropdown. Read all options before selecting — this is a locked decision after confirmation. |
| Business Legal Name | Enter your name exactly as on PAN or COI. Write "Private Limited" in full — not "Pvt Ltd". |
Click Proceed once all three fields are filled.
⚠️ Business Type Is a Locked Decision Once you confirm the document checklist in Step 1.3, your Business Type is locked. If you selected the wrong type, you must contact JPSL Support to reset your application. Do not guess — confirm your entity classification before selecting.
Step 1.3 — Review the Document Checklist
Based on the Business Type you selected, the system generates a personalised checklist of mandatory documents.
- Read through the checklist carefully.
- Cross-check it against your prepared documents. If anything is missing, do not proceed — gather the document first.
- Click Confirm to acknowledge the checklist and lock in your entity type.

Step 1.4 — OTP Verification
To prevent unauthorised account creation, you must verify your contact immediately.

| Resend | Click Resend OTP if you do not receive it within 60 seconds |
- Enter the OTP in the verification field.
- Click Verify.
Made a typo in your contact details? Click the Pencil Icon next to your mobile number or email to edit it and request a fresh OTP.
Resuming Your Application
Your progress is automatically saved at every step. If you close your browser, lose connectivity, or need to step away:
- Go to
https://jiopay.co.in/jioconnect/login - Enter your registered mobile number or email
- Verify via OTP
- The system resumes your session exactly where you left off
What Happens Next
After OTP verification, you are taken directly to Stage 2: KYC & Profile Creation.
Common Issues at This Stage

| OTP not received | Check spam/junk folder if using email. Wait 60 seconds, then click Resend OTP. |
| Wrong mobile/email entered | Click the Pencil Icon to edit before OTP entry. |
| Wrong Business Type selected | Do not proceed past the confirmation screen. Contact Support. |
