Your type of business
| Type | How the portal knows | Journey |
|---|---|---|
| Sole proprietor | 4th letter of the business PAN is P | A shorter path |
| Company, LLP, partnership, trust, society | Any other business PAN | The company path |
You do not choose. The portal works it out from the PAN you enter and shows the type after GST.
On the company path only the registration check differs: a company verifies a CIN, an LLP verifies an LLPIN, and partnership, trust and society have no such step. Each page marks these differences.
Keep these ready
- Business PAN and GST number
- A cancelled cheque, a recent bank statement, your PAN card and GST certificate
- A business proof for your industry, for example a registration certificate
- Your mobile number, a clear photo, and your Aadhaar offline ZIP file with its 4-digit share code
- All except sole proprietor: a board resolution, and the PAN and email of every owner and signatory
- Company: CIN, Certificate of Incorporation, Memorandum and Articles of Association
- LLP: LLPIN and the LLP incorporation certificate
How review works
- Each section ends with Submit for review. Our team checks it. You can keep working on other sections meanwhile.
- A section can come back as Action required if something new needs doing.
- Sign the agreement opens last, once everything is approved.
