If you were invited as an owner or signatory

What to do when a business adds you as an owner or signatory.

Someone added you to a company, LLP, partnership, trust or society application as an owner (10% or more) or an authorised signatory, and we emailed you a link. You only verify yourself. You do not see the rest of the application.

Steps

1. Sign in

  1. Open the link, or the Merchant Portal.
  2. Use the same email the invitation was sent to. Select Send code, enter the 6-digit code, then Verify code.
  3. Select the application on your dashboard.

A box at the top says why you were asked, for example added as a beneficial owner (60%) or added as an authorized signatory.

2. Do your four checks

CheckWhat to do
PAN CardUpload your PAN card. Check the name and last digits, then Yes, this is mine. If it is not yours, select This isn't my PAN.

AadhaarSelect Open Aadhaar e-KYC Guide & Upload, upload your offline ZIP, type the 4-digit share code, then Verify Aadhaar.

3. Finish

  • When all four are done, you see All your checks are done.
  • If someone else is still working you see Waiting on 1 other person. You need do nothing more.
  • If you are the last to finish, a Submit for review button appears. Select it and confirm. It sends everyone's checks to our team together.

After our team approves, each check shows Approved. If you are the signatory, you can then sign. See Sign the agreement.

Good to know

  • Nothing arrived? Ask the applicant to select Remind next to your name.
  • If the PAN shown is not yours, select This isn't my PAN and tell the person who invited you.
